The White Stripes cancel U.S. tour; Milhouse is sad

I heard some rumors yesterday that the White Stripes were pulling out of their Austin City Limits appearance because Meg had some type of breakdown. Today, the band confirmed on their website that the rumors are true. In fact, they've canceled their whole U.S. tour. Their statement:

The White Stripes announced today that they are canceling their forthcoming tour due to health issues. Meg White is suffering from acute anxiety and is unable to travel at this time.

The White Stripes sincerely apologize to their fans.
"We hate to let people down and are very sorry."

Hmm, Jack White's insistence that the Stripes are from Nashville was starting to drive me crazy, too. Hopefully Meg will be feeling better soon.
