Enon - Grass Geysers...Carbon Clouds

Enon is a band I discovered back in my old college radio days. (That sentence made me feel extremely old.) I used to play a song called Disposable Parts to death. It was extra poppy and a little too fast. The drum machine sounded like an adorable, hyper child that wouldn't stop running around in circles.

I had totally forgotten about Enon until I heard two tracks from their latest record. Glass Geysers...Carbon Clouds came out today. It sounds like they kept their old sugary sweet sound and turned on the distortion pedal. Now it's deliciously crunchy synth pop. It has a 90s grunge quality to it that I love.

My old roommate went totally nuts over Enon some years back. He even shot the band's cover image for one of their releases a number of years back.

i wouldn't mind catching up muscially-speaking with Enon. i remember liking them at the time.

cheers,
kevin
