Top 10 Albums of 2007 (according to Matt)

Ok, so this took me a while to come up with, and I'm still not sure if I'm completely satisfied with it but I guess it will have to do. I will never be 100% content with it, so lets just get this over with. If you disagree, email Christina.

10. *
9. Bright Eyes - Cassadega
8. Rilo Kiley – Under The Blacklight
7. The White Stripes – Icky Thump
6. Ryan Adams – Easy Tiger
5. Kanye West - Graduation
4. Thrice – The Alchemy Index Vol. I & II
3. Radiohead – In Rainbows
2. Rocky Votolato – The Bragg and Cuss
1. Jimmy Eat World – Chase This Light

* Reader's Note: I left # 10 blank in hopes that the upcoming Rivers Cuomo solo cd will fill that void, as a lot of the songs are from the blue album/pinkerton era and that period of time owns my heart. In the event that the album is terrible, then I will fill that in with one of the honorable mentions below.

Honorable Mentions (in no particular order): Saves the Day – Under the Boards; Say Anything – In Defense of the Genre; Foo Fighters – Echoes, Silence, Patience and Grace; The Good Life – Help Wanted Nights; The New Pornographers – Challengers; Rosie Thomas – These Friends of Mine (technically released last year, but it wasn’t until this year that it was released on a physical cd); Cary Brothers – Who You Are; Elliott Smith – New Moon (only left off because its technically just b-sides/demos)

I am glad that you left Feist off of the list. OVERRATED. Pshaw. We accidentally ordered two copies from BMG and sold them both less than 24 hours later.
