Peelander-Z Tour and DVD

I am so sad right now, I could cry. My favorite Japanese punk band, Peelander-Z, is going on tour and skipping Detroit. (They're my favorite mostly because they're the only Japanese punk band I know of.)

Peelander-Z are three guys who call themselves Red, Blue, and Yellow. They wear insane costumes which they say is their skin. When I saw them a few years ago, Yellow wore a huge round M&M Halloween costume and a yellow plastic "wig" that looked like a girl's haircut circa 1950. Needless to say, they are a great time.

My favorite song is S.T.E.A.K. Most of the song, they just spell out the lyrics (they don't speak very much English). Then they stop playing and ask "Hey, I have question for you. How you like cook your steak?" The rest of the song after that is the band chanting "Medium Rare!" At their shows, you can't really tell what the heck they're saying because of their accents, so they will hold up huge signs for you that say "STEAK" and "MEDIUM RARE".

I highly recommend going to see these guys if they're coming anywhere near you.
